"Laughing About the Serious": The Importance of Women’s Gatherings

Our women’s business stand-up event, "Laughing About the Serious", demonstrated how women’s gatherings can be not only a source of inspiration and entertainment but also a powerful tool for meaningful change. We know how to laugh, discuss serious topics, and most importantly, support Ukraine.

Each of our events is more than just an evening with like-minded individuals. We create a space where women can feel seen, gain support, recharge their energy, and work together for a greater cause.

Laughing, but About the SeriousA business stand-up is a unique format that combines humor with meaningful discussions. Our participants weren’t professional comedians, yet their stories were so vivid, heartfelt, and funny that the evening turned out to be a high-level success. It’s this authenticity that became the secret of the night’s triumph.

Special Moments of the EventThe evening’s moderator was the renowned blogger, journalist, and writer Zoya Kazanji, who masterfully hosted the event and brought a special charm to it.

During the event, Nadiya Yashan, founder of Business Woman PRO Canada, reminded attendees of important milestones:

  • 4 years of Business Woman Club

  • 10 years of the Business Woman magazine

  • 4 years of the magazine’s presence in Canada

These organizations unite hundreds of women from various countries, creating a space for growth, inspiration, and collaboration.

A Serious Commitment to HelpingAll of our events are aimed at supporting Ukraine, and this time part of the proceeds was donated to the Odesa Brigade "Coyotes", who bravely defend our borders. Supporting our defenders is an integral part of our mission.

What’s Next?We’re not stopping here. Soon, we’ll hold an online auction to sell the remaining items from the event. All proceeds will go toward supporting Ukraine.
