Business Woman Club: Connecting Communities, Strengthening International Cooperation, and Building Bridges Across Borders

On October 2, 2026, the European Parliament in Brussels hosted the international forum “Ukrainian Women Uniting the World,” organized by Business Woman Club with the support of the international Business Woman magazine. For the second consecutive year, the initiative brought together representatives of Ukrainian communities, business leaders, professionals, and civic organizations from around the world to discuss issues extending far beyond entrepreneurship.
Among the speakers was Nadiya Yashan, Founder and President of Business Woman PRO Canada and Director of the Canadian Representation of Business Woman magazine, who shared Canada's experience in community leadership, women's empowerment, and international cooperation.
More Than Business: A Global Community with a Shared Purpose
Although the name Business Woman is traditionally associated with entrepreneurship and women's leadership, the scope of Business Woman Club's activities has expanded significantly over the years.
Today, the Club brings together individuals from diverse professional backgrounds who share a commitment to collaboration, civic engagement, cultural preservation, and international cooperation.
Its discussions and initiatives address not only business development but also national identity, cultural values, community integration, public diplomacy, and the challenges facing Ukrainians worldwide as a result of Russia's war against Ukraine.
The October 2 forum at the European Parliament reflected this broader mission, providing an international platform where participants could exchange experiences, discuss common challenges, and explore opportunities for joint initiatives.
The International Business Woman Magazine: 12 Years of Connecting Countries
An essential role in developing this international community belongs to Business Woman magazine, which has been operating for 12 years and has established representations in more than 30 countries worldwide.
Over the years, the publication has evolved beyond a traditional media platform, helping connect professionals, community leaders, entrepreneurs, and organizations across national borders.
The directors of its international representations are particularly important to this network.
Living and working in different countries, they maintain direct connections with local communities, businesses, nonprofit organizations, and public institutions.
Their experience provides valuable firsthand insights into the opportunities and challenges faced by Ukrainian communities abroad.
Rather than relying exclusively on statistics, research, or media reports, this international network brings together people who experience these realities directly through their professional and community activities.
Several directors of Business Woman magazine's international representations participated in the Brussels forum, contributing perspectives from their respective countries.
This combination of local knowledge and international connections creates significant opportunities for meaningful cooperation and practical solutions.
Representing Canada at the European Parliament

Business Woman PRO Canada was represented at the forum by its Founder and President, Nadiya Yashan, who has also served as Director of the Canadian Representation of Business Woman magazine for more than six years.
During the session “The Voice of Ukrainian Women in the World: Diplomacy, Civic Leadership, and Joint Solutions,” she highlighted the role of Ukrainian communities in Canada and shared the experience of Business Woman PRO Canada in developing women's leadership, supporting entrepreneurship, and establishing partnerships with businesses, community organizations, and government institutions.
Her participation emphasized the growing importance of public diplomacy and the contribution Ukrainian communities can make to strengthening relationships between their countries of residence and Ukraine.
Through professional activities, community initiatives, cultural engagement, and cooperation with public institutions, Ukrainians abroad have become active contributors to the societies in which they live.
For Business Woman PRO Canada, international cooperation is a natural extension of its mission to connect women, strengthen communities, and create opportunities for professional and civic leadership.
Turning International Connections into Meaningful Action

The value of international gatherings goes beyond speeches, discussions, and formal meetings.
They provide opportunities to compare experiences across countries, identify successful approaches, establish professional relationships, and develop practical solutions to shared challenges.
Today, the international Business Woman network brings together people with diverse expertise, extensive professional connections, and direct experience working within communities in dozens of countries.
This represents considerable potential for future cooperation, particularly at a time when Ukrainian communities worldwide face complex challenges related to integration, economic independence, cultural identity, and the long-term consequences of war.
The strength of such an international community lies not only in its geographic reach but also in its ability to transform shared knowledge, relationships, and experience into meaningful collective action.
Building Stronger Partnerships for the Future
Business Woman PRO Canada recognizes the important role of Business Woman Club and the international Business Woman magazine in creating opportunities for dialogue and cooperation among communities worldwide.
We extend our sincere appreciation to Hanna Krysiuk, President of Business Woman Club, the Business Woman magazine team, the directors of its international representations, and all participants who contributed to the success of the forum.
We also value the longstanding professional relationships and friendships that have developed within this international community.
These connections demonstrate that geographical distance does not prevent people from working together toward shared goals.
Business Woman PRO Canada remains committed to strengthening international partnerships, advancing women's leadership, and contributing to initiatives that connect communities across borders.
We believe that the collective experience, professional networks, and shared commitment of the international Business Woman community offer tremendous potential for future projects and meaningful global impact.
Together, we can achieve far more than any organization or community could accomplish alone.
