Xanna Kozakova: “We were one step away from Eurovision. But the real breakthrough was within.”

Xanna Kozakova is the founder of the music group Kozak Sisters, who went through a challenging journey in Ukraine’s national selection for Eurovision. Although they didn’t make it to the main stage, they gained something far greater — a new vision, the support of thousands, and a strength that endures.

In this interview for Business Woman magazine, Xanna talks about the challenges of building a creative business, female leadership, and the importance of support — especially in a time when the world is rapidly changing. While Hanna has lived in Toronto for many years, she spent the past two years in Ukraine — actively working, performing, and creating.

We speak about inspiration, Ukrainian identity in music, solidarity among women, and the courage to stay true to yourself, no matter the circumstances.

The interview was conducted by Nadiya Yashan, Director of the Business Woman Magazine Representative Office in Canada.

“I realized that Eurovision is not just a stage. It’s a mirror that showed me how much I’ve grown,” — Xanna Kozakova
