The first Ukrainian Prayer Breakfast with Oksana Bilozir took place in Toronto

On May 23, Toronto hosted the first-ever Ukrainian Prayer Breakfast in Canada — an event that brought together the Ukrainian community, representatives of different faiths, community leaders, volunteers, and friends of Ukraine around shared values, prayer, and support for Ukraine.

The honored guest and inspiration behind the event was Oksana Bilozir — People’s Artist of Ukraine, public figure, and one of the key initiators of the Prayer Breakfast movement in Ukraine. During the event, she shared the story behind this tradition, which began in 2009 when the first prayer group was created in the Parliament of Ukraine. Over the years, this initiative has grown into an international format uniting Ukrainians and friends of Ukraine around the world.

The event was attended by clergy from different denominations, representatives of the Ukrainian community, businesses, and public organizations. Among the guests was also the Consul General of Ukraine in Toronto, Oleh Nikolenko.

A special atmosphere was created through prayers in both Ukrainian and English for Ukraine, peace, Ukrainian defenders, and the future of our country.

Special guest Vasyl Popadiuk — world-renowned Ukrainian violinist and Honored Artist of Ukraine — delivered a memorable performance that became one of the highlights of the program.

The Ukrainian Prayer Breakfast in Toronto also had an important charitable purpose — supporting the construction of the children’s rehabilitation center “Little Victories” (Small Win). Funds raised during the event will support this initiative.

A large team of active members of the Ukrainian community in Canada, cultural figures, volunteers, and community organizations contributed to organizing the event. For the Business Woman PRO Canada team, it was a great honor to be part of this initiative and support it, especially since Oksana Bilozir is also a member of the Business Woman Club.

The first Ukrainian Prayer Breakfast in Canada became not only an important spiritual event, but also a space for new connections, community unity, and future collaboration.

The organizers sincerely thank everyone who contributed to creating this event, supported the charitable initiative, and became part of this special day.

United in faith. United in prayer. Strong in action 🤍
