Dr. Natalia Lishchyna – Inspiring Women in Politics

We are honoured to welcome Dr. Natalia Lishchyna, Ward 6 Town Councillor in Oakville, Ontario, as a speaker in the “Women in Politics” panel at Business Woman Forum 2026 – Toronto.

Dr. Lishchyna has served the Oakville community with distinction since first being elected in a by-election in 2015. Re-elected in 2022, she continues to represent her ward with passion and integrity, serving on multiple municipal committees, including Administrative Services, Community Services, Site Plan and Appeals.

​

Deeply engaged in her community, Councillor Lishchyna has volunteered on the boards of numerous charitable organizations in Oakville and remains a dedicated advocate for civic involvement and inclusive leadership.

In addition to her role in public service, she is an Assistant Professor at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) and supervises interns at a community teaching clinic in Bronte. She holds a BSc from McMaster University, a Doctor of Chiropractic degree and Post-Graduate Fellowship from CMCC, and a Master’s of Science from Bournemouth University.

Her academic and professional work has taken her across the globe — presenting research in Australia, Europe, South America, and South Africa. She has also served as a provincial association leader in Ontario and continues to serve on multiple not-for-profit boards, including as Chair of the Ukrainian Credit Union Ltd Board of Directors and as a member of the McMaster University Board of Governors.

Councillor Lishchyna is a strong voice for professional women, education, community health, and Ukrainian-Canadian leadership.
